World Class Salmon and Halibut Charters in Nootka Sound

The fish here are characteristically large with Coho in the 20 pound plus range and Chinook over 50 pounds being landed every year! For fishing this good many would think that you have to charter an expensive float plane in order to reach us. In fact Tahsis is only a few hours’ drive from Campbell River BC and a half day from Victoria BC. Vancouver Island itself is only a 1.5 hour Ferry trip from Vancouver and the mainland. Of course you can always charter a plane and fly in if you want but many prefer the beautiful drive to take in the scenery and the abundant wildlife on the way.  Sighting a bear is almost guaranteed and a lucky few may even see an elusive cougar or wolf or the majestic Roosevelt Elk .  The beautiful mountain vistas, waterfalls and flowing rivers make this drive a memorable one.
